Eliza in the woods

I had fun taking on Mary's November collage challenge. You had to use at least part of the three pictures she provided. The woman and the Eiffel Tower were obvious choices, but to find how I used the last picture -- a page from an autograph album --, you must have a closer look. I made the text into a brush which I used on one of the trees in the background. By the way, the woods are only about ten minutes from where I live.

When Eliza was feeling blue missing her lost love, she always put on her special hat and went for a long walk in the woods. There she read the words he had scratched into a tree's bark beneath a heart and admired the single rose which always bloomed there.

  5. Super collage...makes me want to play too...but I must wait until I finish my quilt, and the holiday gifts for my grands. I love what you did with the elements.
