S is for Shadows

I love when the sun stands lower in the sky -- great for having a bit of shadow fun. So this week I chose shadows as my S word for Jenny's Alphabe-Thursday.

And, suddenly, an animal appears from out of nowhere.

Haunted Humpday -- First Signs of Halloween

I recently found Marfi's wonderful blog Incipient Wings. Marfi also loves Halloween a lot and started to organize a weekly event called Haunted Humpday in 2013. Each Wednesday she posts something  that has to do with Halloween. That sounds like great fun, and so I glady join her for the first time today. A couple of days ago I saw this beautiful display of pumpkins at a local garden center. I just love pumpkins!

I usually grow decorative pumpkins in the garden. This year only two of them survived a massive snail attack.

It's quite a challenge to find nice Halloween decoration in Germany, but I was lucky to find a cute LED pumpkin necklace.

As I like the Old West as well as Native American culture, I had a couple of Leanin' Tree cards on display on my walls.

 

Now that Halloween is near, I decided to exchange the pictures for the time being. I chose my Wizard Owl, cute owl scrapbook paper, ...

 ... and my "Not Every Witch Lives in Salem Design."

In the living room, there are more Halloween pictures -- I love the vintage ones.

In my bedroom, I had more Leanin' Tree cards on display.

Now Xenia, the sweetest little witch and friends are spreading a festive Halloween mood.

I also put up some Halloween pictures in my study.

Today I bought my first big pumpkin. It will be a fine Jack O'Lantern. 

I also found a limited Halloween edition (just the design that is) of flavored milk. That is quite unusual for the German market, so I definitely had to buy two bottles.

Lately, I made a KEEP CALM AND TRICK OR TREAT pendant. I am looking forward to wearing it.

I couldn't resist making a Malificent pendant. Malificent is one of my favorite movies from 2014 so far.

R is for Red

Back in June, I spotted a red field next to the highway.

It turned out to be a field of poppies.

 

Such beautiful red flowers.

 

So my R for Jenny's Alphabe-Thursday is red.

Pink 1010

A while ago I came across this 1010 marking on the pavement in my neighborhood. Most likely it's to mark the gas connection to the next house. Anyway, it's pink and thus perfect for Beverly's Pink Saturday.

Q is for Queen of Austria

In August, I made an outing to Ebbs in Austria. It was the weekend of the flower parade. One of the figures showed the Queen of Austria -- the singer and drag queen Conchita Wurst.

So the Queen of Austria is my Q for Jenny's Alphabe-Thursday.

Pink Blossoms

Back in April I saw the most wonderful pink blossoms -- just perfect for Beverly's Pink Saturday.

Now in fall, orange is more dominant, so looking back to pink blossoms is an extra treat!
