Halloween Pendants

I like vintage Halloween images, so I decided to make pendants with them. I first put my favorite pictures together and had them printed on photo paper.

Then I marked and cut out an oval shape, so that the image fit into the pendant.

Finally, I used Glossy Accents to seal the image.

A day later I had six new pendants!

I love the smiling face of the moon.

These three ladies remind me of spring and summer. Thus I had to make a pendant with their image for next year.

I might put some of these pendants on my little Halloween tree.

They all turned out great.

Moon & Saguaro

A while ago I mentioned how interesting photos often turn out when you happen to take them during the blue hour. In my bathroom, I have two bath oil bottles with interesting caps -- a moon and a saguaro. A couple of days ago I noticed how beautifully the moon looked at dusk and immediately grabbed my camera.

The only light source was a street lamp.

The saguaro looked also just great -- makes me long for a trip to the American Southwest.

Pumpkins & Aying

It's another October Sunday and that means that I post something Halloween-related. Look which decoration I bought this week:

I just love the smiling and sparkling pumpkins -- and they have pretty spirals, too!

Today I made an outing to Aying, a town about 20 to 30 minutes from Munich. First I visited a bakery.

Watching how the different breads and pasteries were made.

The kids on the left side tried to make pretzels.

Those guys were the real pretzel-makers.

Auszogne -- a fried dough pastry.

Brezen -- soft pretzels.

Yummy bread.

Now on to the Ayinger Brewery across the street.

Aside from beer, you can taste and buy juice and lemonade.

There was a handicraft market both outdoors and indoors in a large hall.

So many interesting things to see.

Wooden treasures.

Here you could buy coffee and cake.

The brewery was open for the public.

It was loud, it was hot, and it was fascinating to see the bottles racing around.

There was a smell of yeast in the air.

It was also bright and shiny.

The leaves outside the window have started to change into their fall finest.

Now follow me up the staircase to an overview over the brewery.

It's a modern brewery, and yet it has an old-fashioned charm.

It was hypnotic to watch the bottles making circles.
