About two weeks ago I was at the Christkindlmarkt -- Christmas market -- at Munich's Marienplatz (Mary's Square). It was great to walk from booth to booth, checking out all the beautiful and sparkling Christmas ornaments. I even found Uncle Sam among them:

ReplyDeleteHi Birgit, now that you say it, you are right, there are no more Walmarts here in Germany. I had thought it was just in this area, but now I remember reading about them all closing up. Thanks for the reminder. Ah the Christkindlmarkt, I was there in Munich for that many years ago and loved it, but of course not the crowds. Some lovely things to be found there, that is for sure. take care.
