F is for Flowers and From All Corners

May has been unusually hot and sunny -- it feels more like summer than spring. Thus lots of flowers are already blooming in the garden. Jenny's Alphabe-Thursday is perfect for showing some of them to you. Here's a pink geranium.

Sweet daises in the grass.

Another kind of geranium called "Wild Hilde."

A beautiful peony which was never planted -- probably a gift from some bird.

Delicate beauties in lilac.

A small rose.

Cape daisies.

Another stunning rose.

Pink roses.

The magnificent Leonardo da Vinci rose ...

... which looks incredibly full once it has completely blossomed.

Clemantis.

Another great rose.

I just love the form of this flower -- so many layers.

Pretty bellflowers.

F is also for From All Corners:

"A group of gals from all corners of the world sharing their photos on a chosen topic."

It would be lovely to welcome you at From All Corners, too. Below are my last two photos posted there.

Topic: Sky -- a photo from my balcony taken this May.

Topic: Sweet -- a treasured, sweet Christmas ornament.

E is for Enchiladas

Enchiladas are one of my mom's favorite dishes -- and the same is true for me. Thus I enjoyed cooking enchiladas on Mother's Day, taking a couple of photos along the way with Jenny's Alphabe-Thursday in mind. First I chopped onions.

Off into the hot skillet.

Next came some turkey -- on the side are already tomatoes.

Beans.

Corn.

All ingredients in the sizzling skillet.

Grating some cheese.

Filling a flour tortilla.

All tortillas in a casserole.

Here they are again covered with hot salsa sauce and cheese.

After some time in the oven, the cheese is all melted and the dish hot and ready to eat.

A serving on the plate -- ready to be enjoyed!

For Mother's Day I had also made a strawberry cake in the form of a heart (E is for Erdbeerkuchen = E is for strawberry cake).

Delicious!

A flower bouquet with a heart ...

... was the perfect decoration for the table.

D is for Dult

When I visited the Auerdult -- or Dult for short -- last week, I immediately thought that it would be perfect for Jenny's Alphabe-Thursday. The Dult is an open air market which takes place on Munich's Mariahilfplatz (Mary Help Square) three times a year. I have written about it on several occasions. The Maidult (May Dult) is the first fair of the year -- just have a look at the fresh green of the trees.

Handmade soaps with amazing scents.

Some of the soaps are very colorful -- it's also a feast for the eyes.

Dried herbs and flowers.

A view of one of the lanes where antique books and commodities are offered.

I can't remember ever having seen anyone in real life with such vivid red hair -- especially in combination with a checkered jacket. Definitely a fashion statement.

Lovely scarfs.

The Mariahilfkirche (Mary Help Church) in the background.

The chairoplane.

The paintings on the chairoplane are beautiful.

Dodgems.

A small Ferris Wheel.

A kids' caroussel with a Route 66 highway truck.

On the left side there's a maypole.

Great tableware.

Let's go inside the Mariahilfkirche.

Looking toward the altar.

A little candle tree.

The Paulaner brewery paid for the first bell of a new carillon.

The details on the bell are amazing -- there's a row of playing kids on the top. It's a bit sad that nearly no one will see them once the bell hangs in the bell tower.

This beautiful heart hangs at the entrance of the church.

Looking over the Dult with its stands.

Cute garden gnomes.

A fantastic elephant plate.

Colorful beads.

More shiny beads and necklaces.

Baskets and bags.

I hope you enjoyed this stroll over the Dult fairground. If you want to see more, just check out my other Dult posts.
