Bad Feilnbach

I recently visited Bad Feilnbach, a little town about 60 km (approximately 38 miles) from Munich (München). If you click on the map below, you get a bigger view and can make out Munich at the bottom right and Bad Feilnbach more in the middle in front of a mountain.

The town is near the Alpes and has a very special charm. There are many beautiful farm houses.

Cows on a pasture.

A restaurant I would like to visit one day.

Spring is definitely here!

The main street with a big chestnut tree on the left.

A billboard advertising a hearty Bavarian Brotzeit (snack).

Another view of the main street with a bank on the left side.

A typical house facade:

Maria mit dem Kinde lieb
uns allen deinen Segen gib.

(Mary with the dear child
give us all your blessing.)

The church.

The town hall.

A Maibaum (maypole).

People enjoying ice-cream on a sunny day. Some girls were wearing traditional costumes.

Another pretty house facade.

A look into a private garden -- so very green!

A sculpture of a person sitting on an apple -- iMonument?

A lovely creek.
