Carnival in Munich

Sunshine and a clear blue sky -- perfect weather for Fat Tuesday (Faschingsdienstag) in Munich.

The carillon in the New Town Hall.

Masked lamp post.

Witch weather vane.

The vane was on top of the food booth below.

A living statue.

Looking across Marienplatz (Mary's Square) towards the Old Town Hall.

Japanese Native Americans.

A Bavarian couple -- the "costumes" look authentic.

More Japanese kids -- pirates this time.

There were quite a few places selling food and drinks.

A Japanese frog woman.

Chick(en)s!

Candy booth.

Another masked lamp post.

Moo-Mania's new theme is Carnival/Mardi Gras. I made the moo below using the photo above.

A carousel.

The Karlstor (Charles' Gate).

Happy clown.

Happy clown family.

Yummy strawberries.

Little princess.

Cute dancers.

Unicorns.

Witch.

Witch moo.

Pink people -- and a smurf, too.

Poultry again.

Pretty fairies.

Rooster and hen.

The invisible man.

Who would have guessed that Oz is right in Munich?

Crowd -- time to go home ...

... to eat a delicious Krapfen (cruller).

Are those statues up in the front of city hall?
