M is for Maximilian II

Jenny's Alphabe-Thursday is the perfect chance to take you to the monument of King Maximilian II in the Maximilianstraße (Maximilian Street) in Munich.

Maximilian II was king of Bavaria from 1848 until 1864.

In the background you see a palatial building, the Maximilianeum.

The principal was Maximilian II, who started the project in 1857.

The reason why I was in that part of Munich was my good luck in winning tickets from a radio station for the variety show "Red" in the GOP theater.

It was a great evening with stunning acrobats, singers and comedians.
