K is for Kokopelli

Jenny's Alphabe-Thursday is the perfect chance to introduce you to Kokopelli, the famous flute player of the American Southwest. The trickster lives all over my place. In the hallway, there's a Kokopelli hook.

On my fridge, there's a Kokopelli magnet.

In my study, I have a Kokopelli ornament.

This Kokopelli guards some of my books in the living room.

His bigger brother is nearby.

This Kokopelli plays the flute for his lizard friend.

A kachina watches this Kokopelli.

This is the very first Kokopelli I bought in the USA.

A ceramic tile showing a Kokopelli band.

Two Kokopelli bags which I just love.

Some of my Kokopelli books.

J is for Jolly Roger

For Jenny's Alphabe-Thursday, I want to show you something special in my neighborhood. A couple of months ago, I noticed something black and white on a balcony in the distance.

When I came nearer, I wondered if maybe Jack Sparrow had bought a home in Munich, Bavaria, Germany. Hey, wouldn't that be cool?

It's the Jolly Roger flag!

I have no idea if the owner is a Pirates of the Caribbean fan or if the flag has a completely different meaning. In any case, I think it's way cool.

Midsummer or I is for IKEA

I am bit late for Jenny's Alphabe-Thursday, but my trip to the local IKEA for midsummer activities is just perfect for the letter I. Once again you could make a wreath from birch leaves and flowers for a small fee.

This year there were only white and yellow flowers, but the wreath turned out nice nonetheless.

Winding wire around the base, arranging flowers and leaves neatly.

Finally, the finished wreath!

Lots of children and adults had fun with those wreaths.

In fact, the whole store was bustling with activity.

A Swedish almond cake -- what a treat!

There was a Swedish maypole in the parking lot.

My wreath in the garden.

The flowers were gorgeous.

Here I am wearing it.

Once again yours truly wearing the wreath.

Happy Solstice!

H is for Howdy

Today I keep Jenny's Alphabe-Thursday short and sweet just saying
Howdy!

G is for Green

Last Sunday I went on an outing where I had the chance to take a lot of green photos for Jenny's Alphabe-Thursday. First of all, there was this lovely beer garden.

I sat beneath a big, green chestnut tree. That was the view when I looked up.

I sat a cute cat walking over a green lawn.

The sun shone through those wonderfully green trees.

The different shades of green were incredible.

More fresh green.

A view of the Tegernsee.

On the hill you see Schloß Ringberg.

A lakeside café with another big tree in the beer garden.

Sailing on the Tegernsee (See = lake).

Beautiful poppies in the evening sun.
