In no particular order, here are my favorite books of 2010:
1. Her Fearful Symmetry by Audrey Niffenegger (5/5)
2. Shutter Island by Dennis Lehane (4/5)
3. Prayers For Sale by Sandra Dallas (5/5)
4. The Girl Who Chased The Moon by Sarah Addison Allen (5/5)
5. The Hunger Games by Suzanne Collins (5/5)
6. South Of Broad by Pat Conroy (4/5)
7. The Last Child by John Hart (5/5)
8. To Kill A Mockingbird by Harper Lee (5/5)
9. The Passage by Justin Cronin (4/5)
10. Calamity Jane's Letters To Her Daughter by Martha Jane Cannary (5/5)
It's tough to pick just ten books out of a total of 57 books, especially since I rated 17 books a whooping 5/5 and 25 more a solid 4/5. All in all, a great reading year -- I am looking for more book adventures in 2011. What are your favorite books of 2010? Book talk is always welcome!
What a great idea to list your favorite books! Didn't you just love Prayers For Sale by Sandra Dallas? Every time I read one of her books I think "this is the best" but then I read another and it's even better. Here were a few of my favorites from last year:
ReplyDeleteThe School of Essential Ingredients by Erica Bauermeister
On Folly Beach by Karen White
The Crossroads Cafe by Deborah Smith
The Cracker Queen by Lauretta Hannon
All of the #1 Ladies Detective Agency books by Alexander McCall Smith (cheating here, read some of them in 2009)
Even Silence Has An End by Ingrid Betancourt
Happy reading in 2011!
I wish I could make a list of my favorite books of 2010. Novel reading for me was very limited, and don't even remember what I read.
ReplyDeleteHowever, I have bought 2 new books
the fall of the roman empire
and a thriller from David Baldacci. So I truly have some catching up to do.
Happy Reading in 2011!
Oh, I love that you mentioned your fave. books. Do you belong or rather have an account with "Good Reads"? It's a great way to find new books, make bookish friends and keep others updated with what you're reading. I'll have to check out some of your books listed, I have so many to read yet. Fave book of '10 has to be the series "A Song of Fire and Ice" and the first book is called; "A Game of Thrones", I loved, loved, loved the whole series.
