I must admit that I love to create journal pages digitally. It's a challenge to get all the layers right and to add three-dimensional objects to create the illusion of depth. Moreover, it always takes a couple of hours. I was totally in the zone when I created my latest collage, ending up with whooping 32 layers. I made the collage for Mind Wide Open's July challenge, using the picture Gail had provided as one of my journal pages. Gail had given the word prompt bliss, and I found a beautiful quote by Joseph Campbell to use as an entry in my journal. If you like my creation, I would be happy to get your vote at Mind Wide Open -- voting will start on July 15. Don't forget to click on the image to see it in its original size.

Hi Birgit...your entry is very beautiful! You have a wonderful eye for composition. I'm sorry to say that I won't be joining in this month...hopefully next month, as I do enjoy Gail's challenges. Speaking of which I better get going...I'm feeling something BLUE coming on.

Hi Birgit,
ReplyDeleteYour journal pages are lovely! I feel terrible but I just now saw your comment on my sorely neglected blog. If you are still interested in using images from my collection please let me know. I'm usually pretty good at keeping up with correspondence on flickr, but it's possible I might have missed a post. If I'm repeating myself I apologize, your name does sounds familiar. Have I already given you access to them? My brain is mush lately.
Sorry for the super delayed response. Love your work!!
Cheers,
Eliza's Tintypes
