Happy 4th of July

Happy Independence Day! This year I don't have enough time to bake a cake, so the photos of the red-white-blue 4th of July cake from last year have to suffice:

    Aaron and his friends will be driving some robots in a nearby little neighborhood parade, so I'll be going to that - if I can find a place to park!

    Forgot to say, these neighborhood parades are home-grown affairs, with kids decorating their bikes, parents decorating strollers, people pulling various pets in little red wagons. One year some kids pulled a wagon with an aquarium in it - and a duck swimming in the aquarium! It was quacking and splashing and enjoying itself. Usually there are plenty of dogs wearing various decorations - neckerchiefs, hats, whatever. There is usually at least one oldstyle car, or an ancient fire engine, that sort of thing. Lots of silliness.
