June Joys

June brought a lot of joys -- a fiery sunset.

Beautiful orange roses.

Cold drinks and reading entertainment (The Twelve by Justin Cronin).

A stunning, fairy-tale like rose bush.

Blooming bushes.

Hungry visitors.

Gorgeous lilies.

Amazing clematis.

Stickeez.

Another blooming bush.

The growing tomato plant.

Japanese marple bush.

Marple fruit.

Delicious cherries.

Tiramisu.

Needless to say that my June was joyful.

Blooming Tree

May brought a lot of rain, but there were also a few sunny days. Fortunately, I had my camera with me when I spotted this blooming tree in Ottobrunn.

Such a lovely shade of pink -- perfect for Beverly's Pink Saturday.

Even the sun made pink light rays -- how fun!

Happy Pink Saturday!

C is for Calla Lily

I can't believe that I missed A and B of the new round of Jenny's Alphabe-Thursday. In any case, here's my C -- Calla Lily!

I love the pink of the Calla Lilies as well as the white spots on the leaves.

Well, I can't resist presenting you my B is for Bubbles, too.

Mere water in the kitchen sink can be amazing.

Beautiful bubbles.

Finally, here's my A is for Advertising Column. This very advertisting column is in front of a movie theater near Isartor (Isar Gate) in Munich's city center. In fact, I had watched the movie Beautiful Creatures in that movie theater. Isn't the movie poster just elegant? The trees in the background just compliment the motif, don't they?

Bunny & Horse Wrangling

There's a new challenge at Mind Wide Open. Gail provided the image of two little girls with a bunny. Creating romantic art isn't really my thing, so I came up with a whimsical digital collage, imaging what one of the little girls -- Sofie -- would do later in life.

Sofie moved from wrangling Bunnies to wrangling Horses.

Butterflies

Oberpollinger is a department store near Karlstor (Charles' Gate) in Munich's city center. I love the current spring decoration of the building's facade -- colorful butterflies.

New Zealand Goodies

In May, I found a wonderful surprise in my mailbox from a faraway country -- New Zealand.

Isn't it wonderful to see one's name on the envelope?

I found a truly beautiful card inside -- just my style and colors.

And then this amazing keyring with many pretty charms.

Here you see the kiwi, New Zealand's national bird, and a sheep. Did you know that New Zealand has nearly 50 million sheep nowadays?

The silhouette of New Zealand, a coin with the words New Zealand and its Maori name Aotearoa, and the Silver Fern, New Zealand's national plant.

The Silver Fern again, Maori art, and the golden heart of Jeni from A Jeni Design -- the lovely lady who sent me this wonderful gift.

I love Jeni's signature -- and her artwork and photography is outstanding. Be sure to visit her blog. Jeni, thanks so much -- I love all these charms.

Wet May

When I think of May 2013, I think of rain.

Occasionally, there was a short rain break -- time to take photos of the lilac which I got from the neighbors.

White and purple lilac.

Gorgeous -- just think of the heavenly fragrance.

Then there was another rainy day. In the evening we had the most beautiful sunset though.

The sky seemed to be on fire.

The light was even reflected in dark windows.

The rain helped the plants to thrive.

The few sun hours were a delight.

The fern is as lush as ever.

Colorful leaves in the garden.

A bit of yellow between stones.

A bit outside Munich there's this beautiful field of tulips which you can buy.

I just had to take a few photos.

Never mind the mud I got on my shoes.

Really a lot of mud -- big time shoe polishing afterwards.

But the photos were worth the effort.

Glorious, beautiful tulips.

And a bit of sunshine, too.

Now summer can come -- bye to the fleece jacket and hello to a T-shirt!
