Bubbles

Bubbles in the kitchen sink - the beauty of everyday life!

Hail shower in May

May brought a couple of very hot days -- and thunderstorms. Once it even hailed, but, fortunately, nothing was damaged.

May sunsets

Indian Hands

Think Monday - Think ATC has the theme "India" this week. I came up with this digital ATC:

May

A digital collage made from some of my photos taken in the garden and park -- oh, isn't May true bliss?

"Be like a flower and turn your face to the sun."
-- Kahlil Gibran

Zetti moo

Make a moo or two has a lovely theme this week -- zetti style. I decided to give Mr. Poe a make over -- he might have appreciated that.

A walk in the park

A short drive from my place there's a comparatively new park with a creek, trees, bushes, and all sorts of plants.

Yesterday I discovered that several brushes were completely covered with webs.

With the help of a German website about larvae, I found out that it's most likely the larvae of the bird-cherry ermine who did that. In the article it was mentioned that most bushes survive and will grow new leaves later in the year.

Later I came across a female duck looking for her partner and crying out for him. After a while she went in the creek and swam downstream still looking for him.

Mother's Day

Happy Mother's Day!

I hope all mothers get some nice treats today. Last fall's dragonfly or Libelle inspired me to paint a box.

Moreover, I baked a strawberry cake today.

Paris in Spring

"Paris in Spring" was the prompt phrase of Mind Wide Open's May challenge. I used the provided image as well as a couple of extras including one of the blossom photos I took in April.

Whenever Sandrine and Xavier sat close together,
it felt like being in Paris in spring.

Spring Awakening

This week spring really came to Munich in full force -- it's wonderful! Seeing the beautiful painting Young Woman Of Popeii On A Terrace by Guillaume Seignac as challenge picture at Art Creations Friday, I just had to opt for a spring theme, using three of my own photos taken this month as background.

Happy Easter

Easter Sunday was a beautiful and sunny day in Munich. Now that spring is finally here, flowers are blooming and trees have fresh green leaves.

On Saturday I had colored eggs with special colors which promised a special shimmering. Lo and behold -- the eggs ended up shimmering nicely!

Below you see some of my Easter decorations including my Easter bouquet and a few treasured items.

Hope

Tacey is the guest designer at Artarazzi this week and kindly gave her own photo of a seagull for the challenge. Now Tacey's seagull is flying into Munich's sunset.

Alfred's Beard

Think Monday - Think ATC has a great challenge this week -- men with beards. Of course, I have to present Alfred:

Alfred's Beard was his whole pride.

Frozen Moments

Mind Wide Open has a new challenge for April. Gail provided the photo of a young woman with the word prompt "Moments." After some time playing I came up with my Frozen Moments. Enjoy!
